I think that this proposal would be a good workshop to develop further.  However, because I changed School Board, this workshop has not been possible to do this year for many reasons.
 

 

The purpose of this project is to create an in-service (or workshop) to present  the Grade 3 and maybe Grade 6 Technology Outcomes Framework (draft March 21, 1997) and get the teachers familiarized with it.

Objectives:

During  this in-service I will attempt to present the general and specific outcomes of the Technology Outcomes Framework and discuss some software/applications that we would most likely use to achieve our goal.  We will also as brainstorm as to how this could be integrated with other subjects.

Actions:

1)  Give a questionnaire asking about teacher's past integration of technology.

2)  Review the types of applications, resources, tools we have in school (or that we are most likely to use).

3)  Look at the Technology Outcomes of the Framework.

4)  Brainstorm how we could possibly integrated these with various subjects.

5)  Then, have them fill in a sheet on how they possibly could integrate technology.

6)  Have them fill in  an evaluation of the in-service.

Limitation:

The purpose of this in-service in not to demonstrate programs or applications.

Program Evaluation:

I will be evaluating my  in-service: what work/didn't work and improvement that can be made.
