Project Management
EDER 679.01—Summer 2003

This course focuses on the ability to effectively manage instructional design, training, multimedia and performance improvement projects so that on-line training programs are delivered on time, within budget and that they result in products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

The intent of this course is to provide students with a set of tools and procedures to assist in the development and completion of education-related projects. The primary focus will be on developing educational software but will be broad enough to include many different types of projects. The course will include an overview of project management models as well as software development models including estimating and proposal writing and project management.

Through a combination of hands-on proposal writing and case-based discussions students will learn to write project proposals, estimate resource requirements, and manage projects from start to finish.
